Security cards such as driver’s licenses, ID cards, and diplomatic passports consist of several layers of foil placed on top of each other. The foil package is laminated. During this process, the foil composite flows apart like dough. The positions of the individual security cards are no longer defined after lamination.

The stamping and marking automat has the following tasks:

• Automatic destacking of the laminated sheets.
•  Very precise positioning of each individual security card based on printed marks in the X and Y direction as well as in angle.
• Assembly of multiple security features.
• Individual marking with different lasers.
• Burr-free stamping of the security card.
•  Magazining and disposal of the stamping grid.
•  Documentation of the entire manufacturing process
